The last few days I have been ignoring the phone and the online chatter and this is my results! I've got more hee hee Just going to show just one piece today!
"The Distance" is my title for this piece!
After reading Page by Page sent by lovely KIRA! Thank you so much girl! Your zine is awesome! I was reading an article where she mentioned Teesha Moore...you all know that got my full attention! lol
She said that Teesha something had said to the effect of when you think your done with a piece just keep going! And that is exactly what I did! Actually I had 3 pieces going at one time...I started by painting my background and doodle here and there (without the main image attached) and when I would get stuck with one I would just go back and forth with a different piece...this went on for quite some time...Psst! I think I was dancing in my chair! hee hee So much fun! Yahoooooooooie! :D
I haven't had much time to post today and it is almost time for my girls to come home from school which means hugs and kisses and homework! So tell next time....!!!
I've been having such a good time playing in my dining room studio! :D The days are getting cooler and the sun setting sooner and by golly! I'm loving it! If you have hot flashes, you'll know what I'm talking about! ;o)
Two new pieces! Both are on cardstock and loose leaf and yes they are available here ! Go on...go take a peek I've got other items marked down at rediculous prices! Muhahahah! :D I am diggin this new style! hee hee Well not so new, just adding to my old styles is all! That's what your suppose to do! Right?! :D You just take everything you learn and arm yourself with all your art supplies and jump in with both feet! NOOOOOOO I don't paint with my feet ya sillies! LOL erm...yet! ;o)
This first one is "Dreams In Motion" gee I am sure I have used this title before...hmmmm...ahh heck just slap a 2 next to the title and call it good! hee hee
Sheesh! I am still no good at loading this pictures up on here...they always place them in funny places...but somehowwwwww they end up in all the right places! And that's all that matters to me!
Where were we...Oh yes! This second piece is titled... gee I dunno.."Autumn Winds and Winter Dreams" no guessing games on this title! I love it when titles are easy to come by! ;o)
I am off and going outside to take a sledge hammer to my phone...*rolls eyes* I wish! Actually I need to slap a mask on my face(in my nightshirt still by the way) and seal some art peices. "Yes, but in your nightshirt?!" Pfffffft why not my neighbors think I'm cookoo already! Gahhhhhh! :D Laters all!
I have been making blank journals this weekend here are two for you viewing pleasures! hee hee
This first one is titled "The Painters Palette" tall skinny blank journal!! The title is true to itself..why? Because the cover is actually a sturdy cardboard that I actually used for painting pages and other papers on, plus all my glueing projects and the glue gives it a great texture/feel!!
And this one is titled "Summer Memories" tall skinny blank journal!!
For more information/views or if you would like to claim one for yourself you can find them Here !!!
I have a busy day ahead! Hopefully I can do some catching up in the next couple days!!
Oh Goodness me! Another Journal!! Only this time I am not keeping this one...Later today you will be able to find it HERE !! Update: This journal is now up for grabs at Crowabout on Etsy ..hurry go get it here !!!!
Lots of interesting things peeking out from under the dress pattern I layed on top all the papers I layered on the covers!!
This journal is simply titled "Thoughts" it has 140lb hot press water color paper for the pages inside! Oh the possiblities you could create in this journal! You could simply just write daily thoughts, use it as an art journal or whatever your little heart desires!!
Another little view of the front cover!
Darn flash! lol Anywho! Here is a photo of the front and back covers of the "Thoughts" journal! I left bits of the binding threads hanging so you could embellish with your favorite beads or whatnots!
And here is a lovely view of the inside cover...the inside of the back cover is much the same! Groovy stripes don't you think?!
And lastly...the inside 16 pages front and back to create your inspirations on!! Yup you guessed it! It is a tall skinny book and measures 6 x 12! Want to find out more about this journal?? Well stay tuned for an update of when it will be made available today!! I will post it here! And if your a reader of my blog and one of the lucky ones to get your paws on it...I will include a sweet package of goodies to boot!!
Now stay tuned for that update! I am off and running! :D
Had to stop in and say "HELLO" to all! I've missed you all bunches! But I am having a great time seeing my friend again! She pulled in late Tuesday night actually Wednesday morning! We have been doing the girl thing...drinking coffee and a whole lot of giggling! She hasn't changed much...the same ol Karyn..looney as they come LOL
Anywho! I found a few free moments to create some new pieces!!! Ya baby!! I thought I would do things a little differently and challenge myself by not using images I had purchased and doing my own thing! I so love my little quirky houses, hence the name "Quirkyville" tee hee hee This piece was created on 9 x 12 canvas panel and it is just as fun in person as is it is seen here! If your wantin it you can find it here !!
And here is another piece I created on cardstock!!!
8-1/2 x 11 "The Possible" is also available here !
Well, that is about all for the moment! I will be popping in time to time!
Here is what I have been up to the last few days!!
"Candy Sweet" 9" x 12" on canvas panel! This gal is dreaming of lolly pops! Ok! So I got a sweet tooth lately, which is very unusual for me! Must be those monthly curse cravings! Ya! that's it! *tee hee hee*
Anywho! This piece is available today at Crowabout on Etsy!!
Many many many layers went into this piece! I think I am out of gel medium now LOL The gal in the center has more of a sepia tone and so many sweet spots!
I am off to go play in my art journal now! I am re-working pages and actually painting right over them...I'm just lovin it!
Have a great weekend all, hope you get lots of time to play!
This was one of those days that flew by so quickly and I don't feel like I got anything done! I know I did something LOL Mainly fight that non-inspired mood kind of things.
But then I started moving images, paper around and even got out my colored pencils, markers and doodled and wrote on these pieces! Now drawing I have not done in a while! Once I started with the colored pencils I thought to myself, these are fun I should do this more often!
This first piece is "Of Friendship and Love" the quote was from a piece of paper with a lovely quote from a new swap friend "Lucy" http://sweetrepeats.blogspot.com/index.html and the quote inspired me to write in on this piece! Thank you Lucy!
This colorful piece "Every Life" I think the piece speaks for itself and a whole lot of my journaling! :)
I finished this one about a week ago and finished another this afternoon! Yippy! And I got one big mess to prove it and NO I am not cleaning it up! Muahhahahhaha!!!!
Tomorrow is the 4th of July! I most likely won't be around online much or at all. We are planning to grill up some brats(no not the kids LOL) and I will be making a potato salad and a few other fixins! And then later that night we will shoot off a few fireworks!
"Keep Watch" over your dreams....Don't ever let your dreams get too far out of your sight!
This weekend was spent creating some quirky loose journal pages! And what fun I had! I painted, I cut, I glued, I stamped and doodled my weekend away and before I knew it, it was Monday already!
This is my results of getting off my duff and standing up and saying, "I am not going to let this change of life get to me." But of course I had to sit my duff right back down at my desk to create them! Hee Hee
It is a dark rainy day and only in the 70's! What a blessing! It has been so hot! My hub said it was not that bad and said to me, "It must be you and them hot flashes!" Least to say he got the raised eyebrow and the bird LOL
Being that it is rainy outside and the kids will be bored to tears...I think it is time to pull out the paints, brushes and such and take over the kitchen table!
This one I wish you could see in person! The colors are just so yummy! I just love how certain elements on the page just pop at ya! You know..like how they almost evolve on their own?!
This one I like too! I had a good time just flipping through magazines looking for the unexpected imagery! I can't tell you enough how many times I go through my magazines always finding a new used for them! And they look every bit shabby from all my abuse! hehe
One more to go and then I am off of here and find something for my already feuding children to do LOL I keep telling myself..only a month and a half and they will be back to school! I know that sounds awful lol...But you all know how you love your quiet peaceful moments..I do too and miss em LOL And then I think to myself...how will I feel when they grow up and move away...I will tell you...I will be a wreck! I have a hard enough time letting them go to friends houses and worry myself to death about them when they are out of my sight! Sheesh! Can't win for losing! LOL
Here is the last loose journal page...My hands are a bit tired from typing lol so I will let the page speak for itself! :D
