The Road That Leads Home.....
This is an actual photo of the road to where we used to live....
It leads to where my heart is...my home...my adopted home...where the grass is mostly green all year...so many trees...horses...friendly folks...a place where my heart and soul feels content.
Tennessee!!!!
I'm coming home baby! Yup! It's official! I haven't spoken a word about moving to you...the reason...I didn't want to get my hopes up! But now that my hubbys job allows us to live where we want and he can still have the same job has been a prayer well answered! I am so proud of him on how far he has come in his profession! YOU GO DH! I love you baby!!!
When?? Well we already have a home ready and waiting for us there...not much to look at but I don't care! I will have my family and the beauty of Tennessee all around me!
The hard part is that my DH will be gone most of this year! He will return home every other weekend for a short stay and then hop back on a plane to Boston...I can do this thing!
Would you just look at that! So pretty and so close to the Smokies!!
You can find old barns and little shacks that were once someones home from long ago still standing proudly!
I will have to get more photos for you once we are there of some gorgeous plantation houses! Did I say gorgeous?!
In the fall they close down vehicle traffic downtown (that is another photo I need to take so old fashioned and so darn cute) and have their Fall Festival! Something I think you would love! Lots of arts and crafts! Great food! Great people! Great music and dancing!
The place we will live if you walk out the back door... walk about 20-30 feet or so you will find a fence where you can pet the noses of some beautiful horses! And a hill (they call them mountains hee hee) with trees so thick and of many different kinds of trees that cover the hill...now that is a God's given gift to mankind! And I think to myself.....What a Wonderful World!
I am off now (ahem yes literally too) ;O) to start going through things and start eliminating stuff that we don't need. So here we go!!!
Much Love and Hugs! Create something wonderful!!

Hi! Just stopping in from Lia's site. How nice your moving back home and that you have a place waiting for you! My son lives in Clarksville TN and loves it. We've visited him for the last 2 summers and enjoyed our drive back to our home in Maryland through TN. Your post made me think of a song I like by a singer named Melonie Cannon. The song title is Tennessee Road. You can find the words to the song on her site here:

Have fun packing. I'll visit back again soon. Love your art pieces!

Hi Nance,
I'm SO happy for you, that you get to move back to Tennessee! I have been here to visit you for a LONG time, I also haven't been doing much blogging or art journaling, but that means I have been getting some real-world stuff done (some art stuff, some not). But I'm glad to find out you are still your sweet, feisty self!
(Love your new art, 'specially that PINK hangie thing!!!)
Take care!
Hugs, Kat :)
