I will be back soon! I promise!

I will be taking a small break from blogging to take a little adventure I am going on with the help of a dear friend!!! No I am not going on vacation! Oh how I wish! lol It will be from the comfort of my chair and running around the house acting much like a crazy woman! Oh..wait...that is everyday LOL My family is envolved with this one and I asked for their support through this whole process and ideas they can throw my way!

The only hint you will get is that it is something some of you have been asking for or waiting to see me do....that's all you get my friends! Hee hee!

As they say...Time Flies!!!!

Gosh! Has it almost been a week since I have posted?! My goodness time flies!

I got a goodie box in the mail from the ever so sweet Lucy it came media mail and was ever so quick to get here! Inside were bunches of National Geographic magazines, a beautiful Country Living Magazine that had my favorite dream kitchen in it! I am sure Lucy knows which one I am talking about! ;o) Where everything is white and simple with touches of color here and there! Yum! And she also sent me a oh so delicious sachet bag..filled with bits and bobs of lovely things! It smells sooooooooooooooooooooo good! Thank you Lucy you sweet girlie you!

So with all those magazines...I tiptoed as quickly as possible to my bedroom to plop myself on my bed with my mags and a handy dandy craft knife and started flipping the pages! Cut cut cut! Ohhhhhhhhhh what fun! I still have tons more to cut out and oogle over and let the ideas start flowing! Which they did! I created the piece above with the goodies she sent me! "The Laughter". I think this is my favorite piece of everything I have done!

And then there was this...                    I journaled a bit differently this time! With little printed out words of a little something I wrote! "those dreams are no longer listless shadows on the ground ...come fly with me above the trees and see what the birds do see." ~Nancy Baumiller

And then printed out in white on black "give wings to your dreams and watch them fly." NB ( me again hee hee)

"Wonders Never Cease"

Typing as fast as I can because my little ones will be home soon! They spent the weekend with a friend of theirs...Although I enjoyed the quiet...I sure miss them tremendously! The little girls Momma is such a riot...I think I might of made me a friend! :)

Off I go! I must get dressed now and brush my unruly hair and drink more coffee so that I can be ready for my girls constant chatter and be able to keep up with their energy flow! ;o)

Got my blog back yayyyyyyyyyy!

What a ucky week and a half...I have been sick with a horrible cold..First it starts off with sounding like you have swallowed a horse...runny nose...the chest congestion and then you feel like #(%& warmed over for what seems forever and a day! Yuck! Anyone else had this nassy stuff?? Hugs for you if you do or had it! I sure don't want that again!

I have a few art pieces to show that I had finished right before I got all nassy sicky!

This first one is "Fly My Soul" (Sold) I just felt like painting...I first did a sketch of the idea in mah head...Lord knows how in the world it stayed long enough in my brain to get it onto paper! hee hee  I for a long time have just wanted to paint...Ok so I did a bit of collage for the border with vintage dictionary paper...but I don't think you would ever know it! I paint over everything...including the background which used to be orangey...even the dress was a different color...but adding another color over it just did something magical to it! I love when those little things happen!

I am still feeling a bit under the weather...but now I really want to try and do some art today...we will see how that goes!

Dug through my paper basket and magazine tid bits and came up with this!

"Go Play" available here! I had fun with this one mixing new colors cuz I was bored with the same ol same ol paints...I mixed a bit of brown and white and it sorta has a purplish hue to it! I love purple! Leave it to me to mix brown and white together and get purple LMAO *shrugs*

More paper play! "Where My Heart Is" 

OHHH! I've been published again!   Erraticus Zine Special Halloween Issue 2007 #10! The wonderful Melissa found me and asked if I would like to have one of my pieces published! Oh yes! I would love that! Thank you Melissa!

One more before I go off to play...

I ammmmmmmm not sure about this one but there is a whole lot of journaling! It's all about the process not the end result! It is important to have fun when creating and not get all bent up over which piece goes where and ugh this color is not working for me...Forgeeeeeeeet aboutttt it! Enjoy your art time just play!                                     

I am going to go fill up my favorite coffee mug and try to get in some playtime!
