Yesterday I received this lovely in the mail! It is from Jennifer! My cookie recipe swap partner that was hosted by my blog sista Mary Ann  http://1of4sisters.blogspot.com  Thank you Mar! It was great fun! And a great pleasure having you as our host!

Here is what I received from Jennifer! Isn't it gorgeous! I pulled the recipe tag out a bit so you can see where it was hidden!

And here is a photo of of the holder and tag..she even took photos of the process in making Biscotti! Biscotti Nocciole~Cioccolato! Jennifer also added a smell good to the package its made by Yankee Candle..Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie Housewarmer! It is made to hang...since I don't drive I will gladly hang it in my studio to make me drool and to remind me to make cookies for Christmas LOL .... and ever so generous...Jennifer sent me a bag of Biscotti made with this recipe! Yummmmmmmmm! And of course I just had to have me a cup of coffee with it! :D hehe What's Biscotti without coffee!? lol

Thank you so very much Jennifer for all the lovely treats! I am glad that we got partnered up for this swap! It was so much fun!

November is drawing to a close! :( Today marks the last day of AEM challenge for November! Hosted by the lovely KatsPaws http://katspaws.blogs.com  Kat! A big Thank you to you darlin for hosting such a fun challenge! So, here is my final piece for AEM November...and ya ya ya no it's not done either yet LOL I've got a long line of WIP projects to work on and finish up! That should keep me outta trouble for awhile hehe

I don't have a title for this one so any ideas for that is welcome!

I am really happy with this piece so far! I can tell you I really enjoyed making this one! I used another slidemount holder again for this piece! Again DH loved it! He thinks these holders are the neatest things! Speaking of my DH..I am wondering if he paid the cable bill lol...my computer is awefully slowwwwwwwww. LOL Gonna have to have a talk with that man! hehe

Here is the front of the piece...see that fiber? It was wrapped around the cookie recipe holder that Jennifer sent me! Shhhhhhhhh! hehe I just couldn't help myself! It matched the colors of the piece perfectly! Thank you again Jennifer! hehe

I think I am going to busy this next month...as many of you will be busy also...I have WIP's to finish, stuff to get done for the gallery and my etsy shop! I have to go into my etsy and clean away the cobwebs and start adding a few things to the store! Plus I have to get moving on my menu for Christmas dinner..which btw we will be having a day late..Sarah will not arrive till 10pm Christmas night...so that gives me one extra day to get it all done....and keep my DD's guessing for one more day of whats under the tree LOL Muahhahaha *evil laugh* DH talked with Sarah last night about the menu...she and Brianna opted for Ham! Glad they picked ham...I am so tired of Turkey LOL ....all I need to do now is come up with some sort of salad and maybe a potato dish! Any yummy ideas?  I've pretty got the rest of it planned out! Everyone but me hates peas and radishes...so I guess that leaves the layered salad out! hmmmpf! With all that said...I am having a Midol Moment...again! ugh! So I am off to down a couple of Midols and try not to tear anything to shreds lol...

AEM day 29 November

AEM art for the day! Wow! This month flew by! This is one of those microslider holders...I collaged and journaled a quote on the front...my DH liked this one...he even offered ideas for these holders....the things that never cease to amaze LOL ..anywho!

Here's the innerds of the folder which on the top half I did a random collage...using only what was in my little scrap box next to my play space on the desk....the bottom half I cut out some mini prints of my work and adhered them in the niches...I am not liking this gel medium I purchased...its to glossy and streaky...I prefer the nice soft matte finish of other gel mediums I have used....

and last a bit of a side view of this piece to show you how it displays...

Tomorrow is Thursday! And you know what that means! TTT! I think I have the perfect thing for this weeks TTT!

I think this would be a good day to go take a look at what others have been doing in AEM! Off I go for a sneaky peek! Tootles!

AEM day 22 to 28 November

Art for the day! Erm..days hehe! Here are 7 pages I am currently working on in my art journal...this should catch me up lol...I work on these pages daily...once I get stuck on one page I flip through the book and find a page and say, "Ah Ha! I have just the image or whatnot for this page!" I will go back and forth through these pages till I feel they are complete. So some here are finished and others still WIP's. I did finish that piece from yesterday..plus working on another hehe (they are both the extra large pieces I started recently) I will show them tomorrow...I am pooped out from scanning and editing LOL ...my cat just jumped up in my lap to see what I am up to lol and just a purring and kneading my lap...I keep telling him it aint gonna get any fluffier lol unless that is if I gain a few pounds lol my cat can always hope for that..Christmas is coming with a big dinner and lots of goodies so he may get his wish there LOL This first one is "Best Times." Not really sure what order they will show up when I save this post and publish it...next image is "your statement" , "The goodbye guilt girl", "the perimeter", "open mind", "show the world" and lastly "play with color" was playing with my Neo II's hehe...Thats about it for now...I think I should be caught up and now off to finish some of my WIP's!

AEM day 21 November and other stuff

Art for the day! "With Love" Started this piece this morning and still a work in progress...I know I am behind in AEM by 4 days I believe, so I will catch up tomorrow...got a few pages in my art journal that I think will catch me up to snuff! :)

Kids are back to school today! Yippy! Ooops! hehe...I get so much more done while they are at school...some how that just doesn't sound right lol...but anywho! I am revamping my studio...nothing fancy...DH is taking off the closet doors and making shelves in the closet for collage stuff I don't use on a regular basis...and a place to store boxes for shipping etc. Also, I finally got my desk moved underneath the windows and seems to be working ok for me...also moved my art to one wall till I figure out what I am doing with it all...Since I can't paint no lively colours in here on the walls...I suppose my art will have to be the walls colour. DH is building me an extention to my desk to go under all that art and meet up with my desk...the top I can use for my puter, printer etc...and shelving on the wall by my windows to clear up even more space on my desk...heres a pic of the art wall....

Lost the pic the first time I uploaded...accidently backspaced too far lol...so it will most likely show up twice on the sidebar...ehhhhhh well...here is the wall of fame LOL ya okey dokey! There are a couple pieces from some of my blog sistas :D ...the smaller ones are on a shelf and I will show that soon...not sure if the shelf will stay where it is at right now...I would show you the rest of the room but...well...it is quite a mess with everything being moved around...but I can tell you this...I have the whole room to myself now hehe...DH got kicked out into the dining room with his computer and all his puter junk is in storage now LOL ..awwww me so sad ;) *snicker*

Ok that's all folks! Where my computer is I have it in an odd spot and not too accessable nor comfortable so off I go....Hi ho Hi Ho its off to Play I go!

AEM art for the day?

These last few days my mind has been drawing a blank as for art. Could be that the kids are home and running in and out of my studio and wanting to take over my computer.LOL I am not complaining, just too busy with the girls and my mind is not in the art mode at the moment.

But I will tell you what I came up with this morning..Actually this has been on my mind for a while. I am writing a book!! Ok! I am trying to! LOL Never done this sort of thing before, so this is new for me. Does this count as art? hehe I am at least 5 days behind now with AEM. I think we all have our days and moments for creating. But I do think writing a book and designing the pages counts as creating. I can't show you anything yet...not sure I am planning on it, till the book is complete and I know all I need to know to go from there. All I can say is that it will be an informitive book. hehe... I am thinking possibly a 25 page maximum...Like that helps you all! Hey now! Everyone has their secrets! Tee hee hee ...That is all I will say on this topic! I just hope I can do this correctly and get it out there to you!

I didn't get any art done yesterday! Was too stuffed from that Turkey dinner...and pie! Ahem! hehe Will see if I can catch up later today!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! AEM day 19 November and TTT

Art for the day...well sorta! It is an experiment and WIP...Erm Kat...ahhhhhh Cat? Seems cats, circles and numbers are showing up all over the place. LOL I did'nt even plan to make a cat. It just happened! I thought I would try out a bit of fiber arts...I got the embroidered yellow swirlie a bit tight! It's a learning process! The beading is quite fun! I don't know how to do this sort of thing! Hopefully Susan Sorrell will have another class where I can learn this art! It is quite fun! It is so easy to just let things happen with this and total freedom for design. The fabric is painted and dyed muslin. The pink is actually a bit brighter in person. I am going to try it again...and this time with an embroidery hoop LOL It was just alot of play! I was totally bored hehe...I also did a sketch/drawing! But I have to darken the lines a bit so it will show up in the scan this time LOL...I can't wait to show all of you it! I am really excited and pleased with it!

I got everything ready for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow...all but the turkey, mashy taters and an apple pie...with the apple pie...I dun ran out of bowls to make my pie dough! LOL Hmmph! Oh! DH bring me home a bowl would ya please! hehe

Anywho! I told you I would do TTT today so here it is...I will announce the winner Friday...that is if anyone is around to play hehe ....We have dinner here at the house so...yup I am around lol  Here is this weeks giveaway!

I know you can't see them all but...there are 4 collage sheets...made by yours truly! :) 3 are quirky and colorful and one vintage black and white! AEM day 18 November

Wow! I can't believe I am already at day 18 in AEM! Even if I started this 3 days late, I am amazed at how much I have done so far! 18 days=18 works of art! Gonna have to start purging art...just waiting for the time that I step up to the door to my studio and it's bulging at the seams ready to explode and then art flying every which way LOL...

This is a bad time of day for me to do my blogging as my computer is always scheduled to do a virus scan each morning at this time! But I fight the scan and do my blogging anyways hehe

It is bitter cold this am! 35 degrees F! The sky is an off white, kinda gray! Ok my wishing for snow I suppose! Most likely rain! ugh! It is pretty windy and what leaves are left on the trees are quickly being blown to the ground from the winds. I love watching the wind catch the leaves as they fall and watch them swirl and twirl till they find their destination. Yikes! Naked trees! :O lol

I think it's safe to say that this art for the day is a WIP...I am stuck on the part right under where I ended my journaling...right underneath the last line I think it needs something to break up the contrast...whatcha'll  think? Any ideas? I am sure that these last 3 pieces of art are a bit confusing because they are like a day behind...it takes me 2 days to complete the whole piece.

  I have it pinned up to my message board. Yes! I write messages to myself. It's one of those cork/wipe off boards. I write on it when I run out of something or close to running out! Also the cork part was originally intended for pinning up visual inspirations...Not even close lol...If you look at the very top of this picture you will see a tear out sheet from a magazine of a color lazer printer and right behind my art piece I wrote on the board...."Dear Santa, I have been very good this year, this is what I would like for Christmas" LMAO My DH slapped his forehead and grumbled something when he read it lol :D  I really doubt that is gonna happen..not complaining...we have 2 plane tickets to purchase for Sarah and Brianna to come home for Christmas! I am so excited! The girls already expressed a want for a play day in the studio! I will most likely teach them backgrounds and some collage! What a mess we will have with 5 girls in there! LOL And somehow I have to manage stuffing a bed in here so they will have a place to sleep! Wish me luck lol...I am thinking at a later time to convert the closet into a hide away bed..you know the ones you pull down from the top of the closet and opens up into a bed...Would definately save on space in my tiny studio. Still waiting on my shelving which would be a great Christmas gift for my DH to get me...ahem! lol Clear up some of this floor and desk clutter. Going to have to kick my DH out of the studio and all his computer stuff which takes up 1/4 of the space. Hey I have to put the bed some place! LOL.  Poor guy! hehe

I need your help here....the Gallery owner is asking for more items from me! Lawdy! Small stuff! Any ideas would be of great help! I am drawing a total blank! I would like to do some sort of small fiber art! The charms would be great if the glass didn't cost so much! Got to find another source for it!

Sorry for the long post...guess I am making up for the previous posts lol...but since Thursday is a holiday....I am going to do a TTT(Thursday's Treasure Treats)giveaway tomorrow!...Wednesday!

Art for the day! "It's Art" This one is a biggy! 1 foot x 1 foot five inches! Yippy! I had fun! Now what in the heck to do with it hehe...I dunno! Make more? LOL I really like this size! More room to play and also make bigger messes hehe....I better go clean up...or hmmm...I could get one prepped for another collage...I vote for the later of the two! :D
