I've Been Tagged!

Looks like the tagging bug is going around! I've been tagged by my blog sista Mary Ann!

I am to list 9 wierd things about me! (I'm thinking what ISN'T wierd about me! lol)

1. Deathly afraid of heights...the wierd part about it...like I will be watching a movie where someone is holding tight to a cliff or standing on the edge of a cliff or tall building...and my tummy gets the willies and you get that strange scary rush that goes through your body.

2. Will cover eyes while dh drives over bridges that have water under them!

3. Seldomly I go outside...has to do with allergies...of biting bugs and also the wind...makes my eyes water unbearably. But I will jump at the chance to go camping...hmmmmm

4. When not wearing my glasses I often try adjusting them and they are not even on my face lol

5. I can only go to sleep snuggled up behind my dh..I will gently nudge him and he will roll over and mumbles...spoiled brat lol

6. (Mar mentioned petnames for her dh & herself) My dh calls me Brat (dont know why lol) I call him Creep...don't have a clue where that came from! LOL Hes the sweetest man and when I call him Creep he says..No I'm not! and then I say My Creep..and he says Ok(with a smile)

7. I will mention to my dh I want to go to this place or that...and when the time comes..I will get nervous and second guess the idea to do so.

8. I wear mens jeans...they fit better for some reason lol...

9. My hair is long and really thick..and I shed like a cat...find hair balls everywhere!..I know embarrassing!....It's a real wonder I ain't bald by now...Hey at least I wouldn't have any bad hairdays lol

Finished with the cps 7 day mag collage challenge

Day 6 cps mag collage challenge "October Skies!

I didn't realize I cheated on this one til I had already uploaded it into the cps folder...*cough* hehe I had used one of my papers I received from a collage swap...Oops! It is the one with the black background and silver scroll-ie things! Eh well! ;D

Last one! Day 7.."Crowabout ish  C-c-cold!" hehe .As you can tell I was running out of elements in the magazine to use for a collage...So I seen that chicken..erm hmm rooster? ahh who cares lol...it was an ad...*sigh* I used water colors for the background...is that cheating too?! lol  I'm thinking of doing the cps doll w/your own face...gonna go check it out..get some inspiration from others that have done it! Ohhhh! Just look at all those fibers! I just want to jump in and roll around in them LOL

Yup! ACEO/ATC's with mini prints of my art on them! Wanna see a close up! I have them in my Crowabout shop on Etsy! www.Crowabout.etsy.com  These were alot of fun to make...Once I started I couldn't stop LOL

I've got a lot more ideas rolling around..so as soon as I get all the supplies I need...I will be on a new adventure! I will keep you posted on that soon!

Aww look what my oldest daughter Natima made! ATC's! She says to me..will you show them to your friends! Ahh well of course!

Aren't these just the sweetest! She is so special! What a big heart she has!

She even signed the backs of them hehe! :D

Well, I have to go play now! I got to finish up that 7 day mag.challenge!

Day5 cps mag.collage challenge! 2 to go!

"My Getaway" Is not usually far off...the comfort of my home...the quiet with no one home but little ol me and my ornery cat! :D Now just where is that elusive fireplace?! I always wanted a home with a fireplace! Seems so much more cozy! I remember as a child going to my Aunties house with my family and I would escape to the basement where there was a huge fire place always ablaze and crackling...I would sit there on the thick braided rug mesmerized by the flickering flames! Ahh sweet memories!

A Bit Behind !

I am a bit behind on the CPS 7 day mag collage challenge...seems I didn't pick a very good magazine and the selections are slim pickins lol...Definately a challenge!

So, I am going to show you a painting my youngest daughter Jessica (she is 8)created...she didn't give me a name for it...I am going to for the moment call it "The Windows". She finished it at bedtime..so I wasn't able to get her views on it and thoughts..more later on that! Children have such freedom when they paint and don't think twice...*sigh*  My oldest daughter Natima also likes to create...she gets a bit frusterated like her Mommy when she thinks too much into her art. hehe Shes not finished yet with her creation which she made for my friend Brenda!  I have a feeling when they grow up...I will need a much bigger studio...lol...They both love art...Jessica wants to teach when she grows up and my oldest daughter who is 9 wants to be and interior decorator! I told them you can be anything you want to be! I know they have lots of time to decide what exactly...who knows they might change their minds a million times! I told them when they find what they want to do...make sure your happy with it and enjoy it..if that happens then you know your in the right field! I knew I always wanted to be an artist...or a nurse....I worked for 13+ years as a Licenced CNA..never quite made it to nursing....damn needles LOL So I didnt pursue the nursing. My back gave up before I did...and put me at home...I am happy where I am...doing what I love most..art..and taking care of my family....so I have really never gave up the need to take care of others. It was my calling and still is. Well, I better get me some more coffee and get my erm day 5(I think lol)  collage done!  If I ever do this challenge again...I will use a vogue magazine! Sheesh!

Day 4 CPS mag collage challenge

"Family..Time...Together...Priceless" Day 4 CPS mag. collage challenge. The hill and the trees remind me of where I lived in Tennessee! I bet it is beautiful over there right now. Ya I miss it! But ya know...Home is where your family is! So I am right where I need to be. The time of year for snuggling in and getting cozy and warm with family.

Speaking of home...I really need to get some cleaning done! Does me no good most times...Family comes home and trashes it LOL So, theres times I just dont bother with it too much! I would rather spend my time creating in my studio during the day when no one is around....if only that derned phone would quit ringing long enough for me to sit and play for longer than 5 minute intervals hehe...By 4PM est...I set everything down and come out of my studio and greet my children at the door...and grab them a snack and sit down with them at the dining room table and help them with homework. I can't believe how advanced school is these days. My word! I sure doesn't do alot for my IQ LOL

A friend of mine in another town in SC...Brenda...I have known her for a few years now thru the internet...and we don't get to spend alot of time together :(  Yesterday she contacted me online and has expressed her interests in collage! Yippy! :D Well, you know me I was more than willing to give her any info I could...I mentioned the CPS group to her and she may join up! I also have put together a package for her to get started.  Yesterday I got my order from Mary Ann http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/3208/2353/640/collage113.jpg I couldnt find the link to her post so here is the pic of the sweet package I bought from her! What great goodies! Thank you Mar! Loves ya! Back to what I was saying...about my friend Brenda..is the package I made for her I split the contents of what Mar sent me to help her out a bit...So Mar! I might be ordering another one hehe! So...Missy Brenda if your reading this...I loves ya! Brenda and I want to get together soon and have an Art Play date! :D Bring it on girlie! lol

ClothPaperStudio 7day collage challenge Day3

I kinda fizzled out yesterday and started feeling whimpy..But I did manage to get Day 3 Mag. Collage Challenge done for ClothPaperSudio...."One Woman's Treasure"...I found these images in my magazine of a woman who souly decorates her home with other peoples castaways! How awesome! To have things in your home that were once loved by someone else and to carry it on. Her home makes me feel happy. Theres a cozy feel to her home and stories behind everything in it!

I was only able to scan 3/4's of the collage with my small scanner. Keeps ya in a wonder state doesnt it?! Let your mind go and just imagine it. Thats the whole beauty! Imagination! It takes you places that only you can go! Your own personal mini vacation in your mind. I really don't know why I used this lady's home for my collage...but it made me happy to see it...and all the eye candy! So, I guess if it made me happy...then it was all worth while! I did use a bit of a yellowish gold color paint to fill in the white background...I hope thats acceptable in this challenge! *grin*

Finally Got Some Sleep! yay!

Slept like a baby last night..that is of course after taking a couple Tylenol PM's lol...Those work like a charm for me! I feel better this morning...ahem so far! lol...Cept I look really funny...took a peek in the mirror this morning...Yikes! lol...My cheek is swollen all the way up to my eyeball lol...It doesn't hurt..thank God...Just looks and feels funny! Not anything out of the norm for me LMAO! hehe

Anywho! Cloth Paper Studios yahoo group...Day2 Magazine collage 7 day challenge..."The Color of Hope! I know your shocked right?! Pink?! Nance hates pink lol...My art shows alot of pink...maybe it is also the color of my second childhood lol...This one is for my mother...A breast cancer survivor! I will be sending this one to her as my support for her! I will say a prayer for her right before I tuck it into it's packaging to send to her.

Other things...I apologize I havent been able to post a comment back to all of yours...I went to comment back this AM and keep getting an error page..Hopefully this will be resolved soon and can post my comments back to all of you! :)

I got an email from Wendy this morning telling me congrats on winning the Artfest homepage art for Cloth Paper Studios....I was like...no way! I went to have a look see and sure enough! :) Thank you Wendy for the heads up! What an honor! If I read the rules right on this is that I pick next weeks Artfest winner! Guess I will have to go read it again to make sure!

I still have a page in my journal I have to finish up...yesterday I got quite woozie from the meds...so I am off to finish that and my Day3 mag challenge collage..this challenge has taught me not to think so much about placement of my images...I like that! :D just go with the flow!
