Something Two Crow About

2 centimeters and counting...

Oh the joy! Our daughter Sarah had her OB/GYN appt yesterday and when she came out she was smiling and had a wash of nervousness about her face. Her doctor says she is now dialating! 2 centimeters!!!!!

She has been having contractions off and on for the last 3 days but not quite near enough to fly off down the highway to the hospital in Kingsport Tennessee!!!

Her Dad and I are sooooooooooooooooo very excited to meet our first GRANDBABY!!! I am the nervous Grandma over here and overly happy at the same time. I think I have mentioned once before that I get to be there coaching Sarah through this beautiful miracle!!!!!!!! I just know I will be a blubbering idiot when baby Gabriel makes his appearance!!! While I can picture my husband at the hospital pacing up and down the hallway waiting for the news!!! I am already getting a bit misty eyed thinking about this endearing and beautiful event! As I pray for a happy, easy and safe delivery!!! Amen.

It is now time for me to shower and dress..as my sweet hubby comes home today and will greet at the airport in Bristol at noon! 2 weeks apart seems like an eternity! Have a safe trip my love!

I will try to keep you posted with baby news! If you don't hear from me you will know that it is time to be at the hospital! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee So exciting! I will be back with either more updated news or photos or even both! You just never know!!!!! Love you all!

Also, I need to work on backgrounds...I kinda have this thing lately with creating 5 or 6 random backgrounds at a time and then search through what decorative papers and border images and then start glueing them on the background that looks best. Ehhh! It keeps me from becoming bored LOL

Sitting here watching Cash Cab...you ever watch that? Well at least it keeps my brain from turning to total mush! LOL

Fields of Gold and Green...

Oh goodness! Where have I been?! Most likey enjoying the view as everything turns greener every day. Daydreaming in all the lushness of it all!

Still yet I don't have a printer and my cell phone still has no bars. We are so close to the Smokie Mountains which is problably the reason for non service. But with a view like this ...who cares LMAO

Yes! I am still doing art! Here is one of my WIP's kinda stuck at what else it might need...it's still calling me to do something with it so it remains a WIP til that inspiration hits me! Come on muse WAKIE WAKIE!!! It's time to plaayyyyyyyy! ;O)

Here is another view of the same field outside my door...captured today in the morning sun! I tried to capture the field in all it's golden glory! I will try again because it is covered gold flowers (weeds I am assuming) but none the less gorgeous and breath taking!

I am sorry I haven't been around much. Life has been very busy! My oldest daughter is in her 9th month of her pregnancy and the birth of her son is getting very close! I am so excited to become a Grandma, I am excited and nervous! The day she says it's time is going to be crazy and beautiful all at once! Our little Mama is excited and nervous as well...tis that, with all new mommies! She's very uncomfortable at this point and baby Gabriel is dancing on her ribs and bladder constantly! But none the less my daughter wants to go camping the weekend of Mother's Day which in turn is Me and my Hubs anniversary! Seems like a good idea for Mommies Day! At least for me and my daughter it is! We shall see! Gabe could make his appearance at any time! lol My daughter is bold to do this in her 9th month! I know she will be a fantastic Mommy! Love you Sarah!

I have actually been able to get a bit of art done even though between my hubby and I we cannot figure out what is wrong with my color laser printer...everytime we switch it to print in color it switches back to grayscale all on it's own. Now there's a head scratcher for you lol...I've never had any problems with this printer in the year that I've had it! It was always the running out of toner issue! I am at wits end with it!

I still don't like my new internet provider...it's pretty much touch and go and doesn't like to open pages when doing searches and plus our home phone is hooked up to this computer..so if the internet isn't cooperating the phone doesn't want to either. I'm sure you know what I could say about that lol.  Sooooooo I got a Tracfone....again...touch and go with that. Arrrrrrrgh! Does anything work!? LOL I am this close to pulling all my hair out LOL

I am sorta here...

Howdy ya'll!!!

I am here ...sort of...Just now being able to get online with out getting the boot! lol

We are moved and unpacked in our new abode and I am slowly getting back to the art...I have worked on some backgrounds this morning but as far as my etsy shop ...I can't get anything accomplished with Paypal...I NEED TO CHANGE MY FRICKEN INFORMATION...but everytime I try to update...IT DOESN'T!! UGH! How frusterating! And try getting a real person to talk to on the phone with Paypal! GOOD FUCKIN luck! LOL *Sigh*

Oh! Friday is the day! Finally! We are all packed and ready to go home to Tennessee!!! YIPPYYYYYYY!

And to think I did all the packing during PMS mode! Yikes! But it's done!

Anywho! I should be back online some where abouts Monday or Tuesday...maybe sooner...it's only a 4-5 hour drive...with many pit stops!! I just know I want to be there NOW! lol And everyone else in the family feels the same.

I was inspired this morning with Suziblu's art journal challenge/entry..."What's your power animal?" And since I did not have any of my art journals available...sadly they are packed...I used this wonderful and gorgeously painted and stamped folder I received awhile back from Debra Cooper as my background!

The Panther...not really sure what the Panther means technically but too me I choose it as a strong creature....because I tend to be strong when my family needs me and soft inside like a kitten when it comes to love. Protective and will jump at the fight to protect my own. I always felt to be cat-like and so I've....ahem...heard from others hee hee!

So there you have it! The Panther!

Almost looks like SHE's having a good laugh! Which I am always up for a good laugh! ;o)

Countdown to Tennessee

It's on baby! The move to Tennessee that is!

Gave up on trying to find any FREE boxes to pack all our belongings in. Had to break down and purchase the big plastic totes! In the long run these totes will come in handy...they are grey in color...ugly as hell but less than 4 bucks a piece at Wally World! Need to go into town today and pick up some more of these totes because in 3 weeks we will be headed over to Tennessee! YAY! Have I mentioned that I really hate packing!? I do have help though...my oldest daughter is helping and does a really good job at it! Thank you Sarah!

Today I dread...because most of my supplies are going to be hidden in boxes out of view. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh! But that isn't stopping me from going into Rockhill to Hobby Lobby again! HA! They have a sale on 12x12 papers 5 for 1.00! I can dig that! hee hee And they also have a coupon for 25% off regularly price items here *evil grin* I wonder if I can get them to notify me when new paper designs arrive! LOL

I will be leaving the doors open to my Etsy shop because it should only take a day to get all moved and get the puter set up again! But I am pretty sure I will have a slower connection being that they don't have cable over there in TN. THAT sucks! I will do my best to take care of any orders between now and the 25th/26th-ish of March there where abouts...any orders by check/money order please hold onto till I can get you my address change! I am a little unclear on the correct address....sounds silly though...because I know where we are moving but don't know the address! LMAO I will update you on that ASAP on Etsy here shortly! Please bear with me and my scatter-brained self! Gah!

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh Uhhhhhhhhh what else can I tell you before I go.....Oh! How can I forget the lovely phone call I received yesterday from Sallie Mae on my DH's fed. student loan....Ya...they are taking this lack of able to make payment on these loans to higher grounds...that means we need to get our own lawyer and most likely file Chapter 13! Excuse the term here but.... FUCK! lol And we were almost to the finacial point to make payments again! ^#)$#&)@)@ And this ASSHOLE that called me treated me like crap! Jerkoff!!! I almost asked him if he's had his lunch break yet...cuz I was about to reach through that phone and rip off his balls and feed them to him! LOL Like come a little closer dude I got a treat for you!!! LMAO Fuckin sonnaffabitch! And I am not apologizing for my potty mouth! I don't cuss very often but after so many hardships you tend to get a little annoyed! It just pisses me off because we were about to make a payment with them...well you know what Sallie Mae!!....FUCK YOU!!! You'll get your damn money!!!!!! They said if we didn't make a 1,000 dollar payment today by 3 'O clock and the balance by Monday ...lets see that would be ohhhhhh somewhere about 35,000 they would take it to higher grounds! Ahhh hell! Kiss my ass!! lol If I had that kind of money dontcha think I would of done paid it by now!!!! I don't know if I should be saying this all outloud or not but HELLS BELLS!!! It sure as heck feels good to just let off steam! lol

Anywho! I have to run now and get my shower and get my buns to town!

What I did this weekend! Finally got to go spend my birthday money!!!

"Shuuuuuut uuuuuuuup"!!! No I really don't use that saying but I though it appropriate for the title of the post! LOL

Paper!!!!!!!! Lots of paaaaaaperrrrrrr! Oh now..when I discovered the paper isle (sp) at Hobby Lobby...Holy S*** some one hand me a bib!!!! (btw this is the only place I have been able to find decorative papers at so bear with me here) 90 racks of different papers! Oh MY! Yup my hubby counted the racks...I don't know if this was to appease my paper addiction or to see exactly how long it was that he would be waiting for me to exit the isle LOL He was pretty good about it all!

and more papers!!!! They were 2 for a buck and I mostly got two of each of what I liked! One sheet to cut into a 4x6 size for my paper basket of papers that I use in my art...and keep one large sheet for my journal...I know where is that art journal anyways?! I'm sure I will work in it again soon!

I really need to find a scrapbooking store so I can find all the papers I like to drool over. And an art supply store....a physical store ...I didn't find everything on my list of supplies but I did find these.......

Clear rubber stamps! GET OUT!! LMAO just had to say that hee hee!

I can't remember what I was looking at in the store when I turned around and saw these and my chin dropped to the floor and that heavely music came on just like in the movies you know the one where it sounds like angels singing in one of those glory moments lol This was one of those moments! I reached over (whilst drooling) tugging at my hubbys shirt sleeve...I was like a babbling idiot ahhhbuuuuahhhhhuhhhhh OOH BABY! ONE OF EACH PLEASE! Can you tell that I don't buy supplies very often??? LOL I have yet to take them out of the package and try em out...No time right now though..I got to get busy packing boxes cuz we are moving in one month!! YAY! I dread packing! hmmph!

Finally! A speedball! With many differet tips for writing, sketching, calligraphy!! It will take me some practice though...been alonnnnnnnnng time...Can we say highschool! lol Crap 25 years ago! Dang! Time really does fly by! LOL Should prove to be interesting! hee hee

I did get more paints but that was just way to embarrassing to show LOL

A few more rubber stamps and stencils and some gel medium! Haven't tried this brand of gel medium before so not so sure if I will like it or not...we'll see.

And then I seen this and just had to have one...

I thought...well stickers would be fun! Would save on gel medium! lol I mean it is acid free! Am I wrong here?! lol If anything the kids will have lots of stickers LOL Or make some stickers to go along in packages with art that I sell. Ok now I am offically out of room on my desk for all these things so I am off to pack what I am not using and keep out things that I always use!!!! I know..this sucks to buy all these goodies and then be tortured having them all packed away!!! I am still kicking myself in the arse for not getting a paper cutter so I am going to be cutting papers by hand lol As we my hub and I left the store he said, "Gee ..so if I were to go into a place like this and just start grabbing papers and buy them for you...you'd be tickled pink?" I said, "Oh boy howdy! You'd be so spoiled rotten if  you did" LMAO Oh! You should of seen the devilish grin on his face!!! lol I'm sure you can imagine was going through his mind! hee hee hee

Some colors didn't scan as well as others but to tell the truth they are so yummy in person!! This first one is "Thoughts and Dreams" Lots of handmade papers and magazine tid bits here and there, decorative papers, heart stickers from my daughter, I have used both water soluable crayons and acrylic paints on all of these! Oh! The colors you can create!

This second Art Page is titled, "Make Up Your Mind"...Again lots of handmade papers I have created, magazine tid bits, vintage peeps, and alot of journaling! Alot of shadows from my scanner! Ugh! 

Now where were we?! I was going to say something and it totally disappeared out of my mind! Can we say, "BRAIN FART"... Hate when that happens! Oooooo! That bugs the hell outta me! LOL ANYWHO!

This last one (for now) is "Think" ...Don't you just love how dr. Suess makes alot of sense?! Ok! Maybe it's just me and how I must be living another childhood and seem to forget all the adult stuff I am suppose to remember! Gah! Lord help me out here please! LOL And hearing my Dad's voice in my head, "ahh CRS again huh?!" pfffffft! Yup! hee hee Well if it is a second childhood...Could someone PLEASE explain to me why I have to pluck little hairs out of my chin!!  Now I have heard of after being with your mate for so many years you start to take on characteristics of theirs! WTF do I need a damn beard for!!! LMAO! And why do my eyebrows seem to have a mind of their own!? They look like hairy catapillars on a bad hair day! And we all thought puberty sucked! LOL Shit at least then little hairs grew where they were supposed to! Ok! Maybe that is taking it a bit far! But really! You have to laugh at life! If I thought it was serious enough..I would be calling friends bribing them to put me on "What not to Wear" LMFAO! Oh Lord! I like the way I am! Even if God decided to give me dimples on my behind instead of my face! OK OK Enough! I think I'd better scoot and get some things done around the house!
